Other Details:- Plumbness of the lift shaft should be as per IS 1860 (new IS 14665 part 2:2000), details of which are specified under the section
- All lift shaft walls should be minimum of 230 mm bricks or 150 mm RCC
- An RCC of bricks partition wall upto a height of 2100 mm from the pit floor level should be provided in between two or more lifts located in common shaft
- In case of fireman's lift, a separator wall is required throughout the lift shaft
- Recommended minimum opening height (Lintel height) in the front wall at each landing from finish floor level should be as follows
- For constructing front wall refer to our layout drawing
- Front walls to be constructed after plumb line is drawn and cutout markings are given by us
- Pipes, ducts and conduits are not to be allowed to run in the lift shaft
- A ladder should be provided in the lift pit, if the pit depth is greater than 1600 mm
- Prior to commencement of installation, a firm, stable and sturdy scaffolding should be provided as per our drawing along with a working platform strong enough to withstand a minimum load of 200 kgs
